Type “SFC\ScanFile C:\Windows\System32\Msiexec.exe” and hit “Enter”. When you press Enter this will scan the Installer Engine and automatically repairs the executable. Now try to install Software if still getting the same error move to next step.
Type “SFC\ScanNow” in the Command Prompt and press “Enter”. This utility scans all system files including the libraries to the Msiexec.exe file. Now close command prompt and remove the Windows installation disc. Again try to install the software. If still getting the same error move to method 3.
If none of the above method works for you then you’ll left with this last option i.e. System Restore.
Press “Windows” plus “R” Keys simultaneously.
Now type “Rstrui,.exe” in Run box and click on “OK” button. This takes you to “System Restore” Window.
Just click on the “Next” button. This brings you to a screen that displays available restore points. You can select any one of them. These System Restore points will be sorted by date. Most recent restore point is on the top and oldest restore point is at the bottom.
You can select any date from the list and then click on “Next” button. We’ll suggest you to select the top restore point because this is the latest restore point available.
Now click on the “Finish” button on confirmation screen to proceed with the restore process. In this process your computer restarts and the automated restore process starts when your computer boots backup. You just need to follow the directions on the screen until the process ends and finally this restores your computer to the date selected by you.
