How To Resume Broken Downloads In IDM

we are going to discuss two methods on How to resume broken downloads in IDM. First one is waiting for a new address and another one is add new address manually. Let us discuss them one by one.

Method 1 : Waiting for a New Address

First of all open IDM and right click on the broken file.

Now select Refresh download address.

A window will open on your browser and it’ll direct you to the download location.

Once you got the download link address simply clicks on “OK”. It resumes your download.

Method 2 : Add New Address Manually

Open IDM and right click on the download file and go for Properties.

Copy the address of address field and paste it in your browser.

Then click on download it. Then in IDM dialog window click on download later. 

After this move towards your IDM dashboard and get new address by clicking on its properties and copy the address in address field.

Now paste New Address in the broken file’s address field.

Now try to resume you download by clicking on resume.
